The Moke started life as a rugged little utility vehicle built by the British Motor Corporation from 1964 to 1993. Originally designed for military use, it was light, simple, and tough — ideal for soldiers in the field.
But the military passed. Civilians didn’t.
What was meant for war quickly became an icon of leisure. With its open-air body, no doors, and beach-ready attitude, the Moke found a second life cruising coastlines from the French Riviera to the Caribbean.
Today, the Moke is a cult classic — beloved by collectors, travelers, and anyone with a taste for freedom and flair.
Our modern electric Mokes keep the vintage soul, but with a smooth, silent ride and zero emissions. It’s history with a twist of luxury — and the perfect fit for Galveston’s sun-soaked streets.

Mokes are fully street legal on any road posted 35 mph or below — which means you can cruise through most of Galveston without limits.

General Moke Rental Info
- Each Vehicle is rated to sit 4 people comfortable (bucket seats)
- Bluetooth Radio with USB port
- Bimini Top available, protects you from light rain and direct sun if needed
- Must be 21 years of age and have a valid drivers license and car insurance to rent a Moke. All rental are subject to 8.25% sales tax.
- You can not drive the Moke off the island you rented from unless in writing states different at time of rental.
- All our vehicles come fully charged with a 25+ mile range on a single charge. We provide a charger for multi-day rental. * *Multi-day & Overnight rental rented prior to 12pm, must return the vehicle with a full charge for the next customer and must have access to a 110-Outlet (basic home outlet).
- $300 Deposit - Returned at end of rental with no damages
